In 1948, voters decided on seven statewide ballot measures in South Dakota on November 2.

• Five of the measures were legislatively referred constitutional amendments.
• One of the measures was an indirect initiated state statute.
• One of the measures was a veto referendum.
• Voters approved five (71%) and rejected two (29%) measures.
